    Hi, We are going to be celebrating my son's 8th birthday in the magic kingdom on the 19/8/2011. We have booked him into the 'pirates league' experience.It says he will be able to participate in a parade-I was wondering how that worked? Thank you!

    Welcome to the Moms Panel!  We're glad you're hEAR!

    There is no better place to celebrate an 8th birthday than in the Magic Kingdom! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son at Guest Relations as you enter the park.

    One of my sons recently did the Pirates League and loved it!  It is so super cute! The Adventureland Pirate Parade is typically held daily at 4:00 p.m. (be sure to confirm the time when your son has his makeover).  Everyone who has had a pirate makeover at the Pirates League during that day is invited to come back & participate. You meet at the stage in Adventureland across from the entrance to Pirates of the Caribbean ride. There are no sign-ups or anything - you just show up.
     
    Its a short parade (nothing fancy) in the area but the kids have so much fun. You end in front of The Pirates League sign for a group picture.
