Celebrating my son's 1st birthday! doing early entry as a deluxe hotel guest in magic kingdom, brunch at Crystal Palace followed by a Capture Your Moment photoshoot. Wanted to know if the balloon stands will be open that early for a photo prop

Howdy, Chelsea! Oh my goodness! Celebrating a first birthday at Magic Kingdom is going to be pure magic and a memory you’ll cherish forever!

Now, let’s talk balloons. Cast Members at the balloon carts are usually out and about along Main Street, U.S.A. during the morning hours, especially earlier in the day when the park opens. That said, their appearance isn’t always guaranteed. Weather plays a big part. If it’s rainy or super windy, the balloons may not be out for safety reasons.

If you don’t spot a balloon cart right away, don’t hesitate to ask any nearby Cast Member. They’re great at checking where the carts might be stationed and whether they’re expected to return later in the day. Sometimes, they’ll even point you to the most likely spot to catch them.

If the balloon carts aren’t out during your Capture the Moment session, don’t worry, there are still some really special photo opportunities around Magic Kingdom. You might spot one of the antique vehicles, like the Main Street vehicles or even the double-decker Omnibus, making their way through the area in the morning.

These vintage cars aren’t always out, but when they are, they make for such a charming backdrop. If a Cast Member is nearby, it’s always worth asking if you can hop on for a quick photo. The details on those cars are beautiful, and having your little one in that setting makes for a timeless shot.

Also, early mornings on Main Street tend to be a little quieter, so you may be able to grab some wide, crowd-free photos in front of Cinderella Castle or under the flags. Even without balloons, there’s no shortage of ways to make that session extra magical.

So while the balloons are fun and festive, don’t be discouraged if they’re not around, as there are plenty of other ways to capture that first birthday magic!

Wishing your little one the happiest birthday sprinkled with pixie dust!

    Toodles,
