We're celebrating my sons 4th Birthday at Disney world in October and am wondering if we should do the Dessert Party With Plaza Viewing or The Pirates And Pals Dessert Fireworks Cruise?

    Hi Dana ~

That is a tough decision because the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage and the Fireworks Dessert Party with Plaza Garden Viewing are both amazing options and you can't go wrong either way. I've done both several times over the years with my boys and love them both.

If you have never seen the new fireworks spectacular Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom you are in for the most incredible show ever. It is so much more than fireworks featuring lasers and breathtaking projections on Cinderella Castle. It will leave you completely speechless. The best place to see this show is in front of Cinderella Castle. In my opinion, the Fireworks Party with Plaza Garden Viewing will give you the better place to see Happily Ever After.

Having said that, if you have already seen Happily Ever After, I would vote for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage. I think your son would really enjoy the character interactions, food, and seeing the fireworks from the Seven Seas Lagoon. It gives you a good view of the peripheral fireworks that are a big part of Happily Ever After that you can't see as well near Cinderella Castle. You will also avoid the crowds afterwards.

I see that you are visiting in October which is a month that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party takes place in the Magic Kingdom. Be sure to check the schedule of event dates before making your final decision and booking.

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
