Hi, We will be celebrating my sons 4th birthday in disney world next may (2015). We went to disney world october 2014 so we feel we already did quite alot of the 'special' things. Is there anything extra magical i can surprise him with?

Hi Nathan!  Thanks for visiting us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Birthdays are my favorite occasion to visit Walt Disney World, just being there makes the day extra special.

When you were on your last vacation to Walt Disney World, did your son get to experience being made over into a pirate at The Pirates League?  If not, I absolutely recommend it as a must do for little boys!  There are several different packages to choose from, even one that will make him over like Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates.  Your son might like celebrating his birthday with lunch or dinner at T-REX at Downtown Disney.  T-REX is a dinosaur themed restaurant that kids really love, they even have a meteor shower that goes off inside the dining area every so often while you eat.  Inside the restaurant gift shop, there is a Build-A-Dino that you could splurge on for his birthday to remember his special day!

For birthdays at Walt Disney World, I always suggest taking the day slow and spending it really celebrating the child.  When we have celebrated my daughters birthday at Walt Disney World, we always start the morning off very relaxed going for a swim.  I like to surprise her with a Mickey Ice Cream Bar for breakfast down by the pool!  I am sure whatever you decide to do for your sons birthday will be absolutely perfect for him.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.  Have a magical day.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
