We will be celebrating my sons 3rd birthday 4 days in to the trip. Will I need to buy a ticket for the remaining 2 days that we will be there?

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Tammy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks for stopping by to see us with your question.

There's nothing better than celebrating a birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort! If there's a birthday coming up in my house, you can be sure that we're planning to spend it there!

I have some great news for you, Tammy. Your little Mouseketeer's age is determined by the first day of your visit, so if he turns three a few days in, hakuna matata! No worries! Your son will be considered a special Guest of Mickey throughout your vacation and will not need a ticket to enter the Theme Parks.

Tammy, if you'd like to celebrate with a special cake for your son's big day, you can order a cake to be delivered to most Walt Disney World restaurants. We had the chocolate Mickey Mouse Celebration cake for my son's birthday this year, and OH my goodness! It was delicious!

And while you're making plans, be sure to check out Disney's handy online planning guide for parents of preschoolers. It's full of ideas about fun things to do with little ones.

I hope this helps you plan a magical birthday at Walt Disney World for your son, Tammy. Please come see us again if you have any more questions!

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
