Celebrating son's 3rd birthday so also going to celebrate "Buzz's #1 Fan" for 5 yr old son so they both get equal attention that day. Will cast members at restaurants acknowledge both boys if we make note on reservation? Can older son get a butto

    Hi Melanie!

That's a pretty neat idea. I really like how you want your older son to be included in the day's celebration as well. Nice job!

Yes, you could definitely ask the cast members at the restaurant(s) to bring out a second celebratory cupcake (or whatever else they may offer to youngsters who are celebrating a birthday). I don't see that as being an unreasonable request.

When you check-in, the host or hostess will ask you if you'll be celebrating any special occasions. They should definitely make a note of it, but it certainly can't hurt to double-check with your waiter or waitress to make sure they understand the game plan.

As far as buttons go, they do have generic "I'm Celebrating" buttons that your older son would probably enjoy wearing. You can ask for them from the cast members at the front desk of your resort hotel or check with any of the Guest Services locations within the theme parks.

Here's a little tip from your buddy Derek:

If you really want to seal the deal for your older son's "Buzz's #1 Fan" status, you can go online at DisneyStore.com and create a personalized t-shirt for him with an image of Buzz Lightyear and your own personalized text. Or, you can also make one of these shirts at Disney Design-a-Tee in the Downtown Disney Marketplace and take it with you the same day. (I did this for my daughter and it was so much fun!)

I hope that helps and I hope you have an awesome vacation! If you should have any additional questions, please feel free to write back and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
