Bright Suns, Lauren!
It is good to hear of your preparations to visit Batuu. Our Resistance Forces are in dire need of support. Even in the midst of their battle against the First Order, they do find time to celebrate life, so birthdays are quite special. I sense that we have a young Jedi in our midst. To make your visit special, he must spend time learning from the Gatherers at
Savi's Workshop. There, he will build and bond with a lightsaber. This is an important first step in his Jedi journey.
Every Jedi-in-training needs to find allies in the Resistance. Be sure to make an
advanced dining reservation at
Oga's Cantina. You can use this time to gather critical information. Listen well and stay alert. On one of my visits to Oga's an operative with the First Order entered and demanded info on the Resistance. We all remained silent and said nothing. So, stay courageous!
Once you leave Batuu, consider doing lunch at
Sci-Fi Dine in Theater Restaurant. Definitely make a dining reservation. Travelers departing Batuu often stop here before catching their transport back home. The milkshakes are out of this world!
Lauren, I do have a few final important notes. Upon arrival, check at your resort hotel or with Guest Relations to get a birthday button for your son. He should wear this at all times. Also, if you dine at Sci-Fi Dine in Theater Restaurant, inquire about a
Mickey Mouse Celebration cake. They may be able to provide one at the end of your meal. Just note the additional charge for the cake.
Remember to arrange your intergalactic transport, pack accordingly, and come prepared to defeat the First Order! There's nothing quite like a good victory to bring happiness on a birthday!
Good journey,
Magic and memories
