We will be celebrating my mother in laws birthday as well as my son’s first Disney World visit this October. I thought I saw in the past that we could have Sprinkles Cupcakes or other sweet treats delivered to our room upon check in. Is this true? Thanks!

    Hi Heather!

Welcome to planDisney!  It sounds like you have a lot to celebrate on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm so happy you stopped by for a few ideas on making those celebrations a bit more magical!  Whether it's a first visit, birthday, anniversary, or anything in between, there are a lot of ways that you can sprinkle some pixie dust on your vacation.

Heather, having a surprise delivered to your Disney resort is a wonderful idea!  I personally haven't had cupcakes from Sprinkles delivered to our room, but I see on the Disney Springs website that this service is currently available.  I'd suggest calling their Disney Springs store directly if you have specific questions about placing an order for delivery.  You may also want to check options that may be available from any third-party food delivery services in the area to pick up and deliver for you. Another option you may want to explore is In-Room Floral and Gifts, which offers delivery to hotels in the Disney Resorts Collection.  You can find a variety of surprises here, including plush toys, flowers, balloons, sweets, and more!  Of course, you'll also want to pick up complimentary celebration buttons from the front desk of your resort.  These make great keepsakes and also let Cast Members and other Guests know that you're celebrating something special on this trip.

One of our favorite ways to celebrate a special occasion is character dining.  I just returned from Walt Disney World Resort this past week and had the chance to enjoy Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at Cape May Cafe again.  There are so many great choices on this buffet!  Located inside Disney's Beach Club Resort, this character breakfast is a convenient choice for a day that you are spending outside of the theme parks or on a day that you're visiting either EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios, as you can easily walk or hop on a FriendShip boat to either of those two parks.  Another great choice this time of year is Minnie's Seasonal Dining at Hollywood & Vine inside Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Lunch and dinner at this restaurant feature some of your favorite characters and their outfits change with the season!  Currently, you can find Minnie and friends wearing their Halloween costumes as they visit your table.  I would also suggest checking availability for this character meal as part of a Fantasmic! Dining Package so you can get even more value out of the experience by securing reserved seating for Fantasmic! later that night.  It is important to note that seasonal dining is only available here for lunch and dinner, as breakfast features select Disney Junior characters.

Heather, I hope this helps to give you a few ideas as you plan two magical celebrations during your vacation!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney - we're all ears!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
