Hey there, hi there Jodi! You're always welcome as can be at
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by with your question.
Three cheers for your husband and his retirement! On behalf of all of us at planDisney, we'd like to offer our sincEAR appreciation for your family's service. Celebrating in the Most Magical Place on Earth sounds absolutely perfect, and I understand wanting to make the occasion as special as possible.
During the current phase of reopening, Mickey and Minnie Mouse appear in a
Magic Kingdom Park cavalcade and on a pontoon boat in
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. They also greet incoming and outgoing Guests from atop the Main Street Train Station. Since they are either in motion or significantly distanced from visitors, giving them a banner to hold would be difficult at this time. To include your Disney friends in a picture, I recommend bringing the banner and holding it yourselves while someone else snaps a socially distant character photo. I have some great shots from a recent trip with Chip 'n Dale behind me in Frontierland. My travel partner and I had a friendly passerby take our picture, and it came out looking cute!
If you're looking for an extra special commemorative photo, I recommend bringing the banner and talking to
Disney PhotoPass photographers about the best way to incorporate it into shots. These awesome Cast Members can make some magic, and my family always enjoys the fun they create through the camera lens. If it fits in your schedule, consider booking
Capture Your Moment, a personalized 20-minute photo session that captures the fun and excitement of your special day.
I hope this is helpful, Jodi. As soon as you arrive on your visit next month, be sure to pick up some celebration buttons from Guest Relations or the front desk of your Resort Hotel so everyone can join in on the occasion. Thanks again to your husband for his service, and we can't wait to see ya real soon!
