We are celebrating my husband who retired from the military after 25 years with a disability.I want to show him how very proud I am of his service and sacrifice. I heard I could ask to see if he could raise the flag at MK.Who can I ask?

    Hi Suzi,

Please share with your husband the gratitude and well wishes of myself and my fellow Moms for his many years of service to our country. I am sure you are extremely proud of him!

Magic Kingdom's flag retirement, each day at dusk, is truly a heart touching ceremony and brings tears to my eyes every time. I love the honor and pride in the eyes of the military personnel that take part in the ceremony, and I love the feeling of respect and love for our country that I can honestly feel during the ceremony. It really does give me goosebumps.

It is my understanding that the guest or guests chosen to participate are selected each day by Magic Kingdom Cast Members. The best thing to do is head right to City Hall right when you arrive at Magic Kingdom that morning, and speak to a Cast Member there. You may also want to speak to your Disney resort concierge when you arrive on property. Perhaps they can contact the Magic Kingdom Guest Relations prior to that day and arrange this for you.

Good luck! I certainly hope you are able to honor his service with this small token.
