    Will be celebrating family birthday. Is there a bakery on Disney property to order and pickup a cake to share with family at our resort? Thanks, ya'll are great.

    Visiting Walt Disney World is a great way to celebrate birthdays and there are several places to order a customized cake for your birthday celebration.  Customized cakes can be delivered right to your resort hotel room if you are staying in a Disney Resort that offers private dining.  If you are not staying in a resort that offers private dining, you can typically pick your cake up from the food court area of your resort.  The BoardWalk Bakery is also a location where you can pick your cake up personally to take back to your resort room, they require a minimum 48 hours notice.  The bakery is currently undergoing a refurbishment, but is expected to reopen sometime in late April.  If you will be enjoying some of Disney's table service restaurants, you can have a cake ordered to be delivered at the end of your meal also.
    Cakes can be ordered by calling 407-827-2253 and you must give at least 48 hours advance notice, if you are considering a more elaborate or complicated design you will need to give them approximately 2 weeks notice.  I hope this helps and please let us know if we can answer anymore of your questions!
