We are celebrating DDs 5th bday with 8day trip. What restraunt does the most extra for childrens birthday? Do you think it is better to order large special cake for restraunt or in room delivery? Any non character dining that kids really enjoy? Thanks

Hi Cindy! Walt Disney World is such a great place to celebrate a birthday. My own family has shared in this over the many years we have been going and we have been at a variety of restaurants. I can't pick out one that was better then the other but I would suggest you stick to the true Disney options versus something in Downtown Disney. If you are looking for a dinner show meal then I suggest Hoop Dee Doo where they will call out her name and recognize her in front of all the guests. 50's Primetime Cafe in Hollywood Studios is a fun choice as the cast will try to engage her throughout the meal. We enjoyed having cakes delivered to the room where we could have our own little party together without interference. If you don't think you will be spending much time in the room during your stay or on her birthday then just arrange for a cake at the meal. Beyond the suggestions above there are other fun dining experiences while at Disney. My grandchildren love eating at Teppan Edo in Japan where the chef cooks the meal in front of you. Most are very entertaining and love to show their "magic" to the kids at the table. Sci Fi Dine In restaurant at the Studios is also a fun place as old movies and movie clips are shown throughout your meal. T-Rex in Downtown Disney and Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney as well as Animal Kingdom attract families due to the action and atmosphere surrounding the tables. One more in Epcot that comes to mind is Germany's Biergarten. Kids can get up and dance and enjoy the music and entertainment.
