We will be celebrating my daughter's July birthday while we are at Disney on May 30th. She surpisingly doesn't like cake, so I was wondering if there were other options such as ice-cream for a b-day celebration? We will be dining at Akershus that night.

    Hi Sandy,

May I make a suggestion for an ice cream-related birthday celebration that I guarantee your daughter will never forget?  You mention that you will be dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the evening.  As you'll see on the description of this lovely venue, they do offer a tasty Norwegian dessert sampler.  However, I think I have a better recommendation.  On the same day that you'll be visiting Epcot, take a Friendship Boat from the International Gateway in World Showcase between the United Kingdom and France Pavilions.  Disembark at Disney's Beach Club Resort.  Head on over to the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop found at this resort.  Order the Kitchen Sink Sundae and watch the festivities begin.  Here is a video posted earlier this week about this amazing ice cream treat.  One word of advice, though...go hungry!

Please wish your daughter a magical birthday from the Moms Panel.
