Hello! We will be celebrating my daughters 7th birthday At WDW in Nov. Is there anything we can do to make it extra special amid Covid? Something sent to resort room? Special experiences (dining, dress up, characters, random unexpected fun)? Thanks!

    Welcome back to planDisney, Amy!

Aw, celebrating a 7th birthday at The Most Magical Place on Earth will surely be spectacular!

I see that your little Princess celebrated a previous birthday at Walt Disney World, so my first recommendation is to think of any of those activities that were the biggest hit at that time. Was it the element of surprise that wowed her, or a focus on a few favorites that made her smile? Crafting some new experiences that are just as pixie-dusted will bring about a birthday that's practically perfect in every way.

When we're celebrating someone's special day, I tuck a few themed surprises into a suitcase and decorate our Walt Disney World Resort hotel room when the celebrant isn't looking. Once we get into our room, I'll run down to the resort shop, saying I'm bringing back everyone's favorite beverage and a snack or two. Then, I'll pick up some Walt Disney World favorites such as a Mickey Mouse and Friends Autograph Book or Disney Princess Memory Book, a new Walt Disney World coloring book, and some iconic Mickey Mouse lollipops.

If she heads to your resort pool with another adult at some point, linger a little and sprinkle the pixie dust prior to joining them. Add a tiara, a new Princess dress, some new crayons, some battery-operated twinkle lights, a "Happy Birthday" sign, even a special Disney Gift Card you brought from home, and your Princess will return to scene that's sure to make her smile.

Next, be sure to have at least one entire day dedicated to all of her favorites. Start with Breakfast a la Art with Mickey & Friends at Topolino's Terrace - Flavors of the Riviera or plan a delicious, family-style, fun-filled lunch or dinner at Chip 'n' Dale's Harvest Feast, located at Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT's The Land Pavilion. Upon arrival at your restaurant, be sure to request a classic Mickey Dome Cake, which will cap off your magical meal in perfect birthday style.

Make the rest of the day all about The Birthday Girl, from selecting each attraction, capturing photos of new favorite character cavalcades, trying something new at her pick of a Quick Service Restaurant, and the chance to spend that Disney Gift Card on something super-special she otherwise would not have gotten. What a treat!

As you plan this pixie-dusted birthday, be sure to send additional questions our way, Amy. We love to help!

...and a VERY Happy Birthday to your Princess from all of us! :-)
