Tree of Life at Sunset at Disney's Animal Kingdom

    We’re celebrating our daughter’s birthday this Saturday at Animal Kingdom with her friends. We would like to buy cupcakes at Zuri’s Sweet Shop to sing Happy Birthday. Are they able to give us a candle? Or can we bring that in to do it the traditional way?

    Oh Boy! I love birthdays, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and cupcakes. I think you have a solid plan to make your daughter feel like a real-life princess. I often stop by Creature Comforts to grab my morning cup of coffee and head straight to Zuri Sweets Shop for homemade treats. They will have a nice selection of sweets to celebrate the big day. However, flammable objects are prohibited at Walt Disney World Resort. So, I think the candle portion of the day will have to wait until you get home.

    Here are a couple of lesser-known fun activities for the girls. Have you ever experienced Winged Encounters: The Kingdom Takes Flight? From 9:15 AM to 3:15 PM on a quarter past the hour, stand in front of the Tree of Life to witness free-flying macaws take to the sky. Informative Cast Members will demonstrate the intelligence of these magnificent creatures.

    Take the Wildlife Express Train over to Conservation Station for the girls to learn to draw a Disney character during The Animation Experience at Conservation Station. While there, they may luck out and see the Veterinarians care for the animals. Rafiki's Planet Watch also features an Affection Section. Here the girls can pet and get up close with animal ambassadors.
