We will be celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday in Plaza Inn my question is, can I bring outside balloons from party city?

    Hi Mary!

Your question has stumped many people so I will try to answer this the best I can.

First of all your daughter is a lucky young five year old to be celebrating that special birthday at Disneyland. I am sure she is very excited and counting down the days.

There are many items that are Not Permitted in the Disney parks. Balloons are not listed unless you were traveling to Walt Disney World where balloons are stated that they are not allowed in the Animal Kingdom Park or Animal Kingdom Lodge due to the safety of the animals.  I don't feel there would be an issue if you were planning on bringing a couple of balloons in from outside but remember you will have to be the one to handle them. A special five year old balloon would be fun to tie on your daughter's seat in the restaurant but if you wanted to bring in a large group the restaurant won't necessarily be able to handle that and not affect other guest's experience.  Disneyland does sell balloons if you wished to add to something special you might bring but ideally for your peace of mind it is best to keep the number to a minimum. You have to be the balloon handler both inside the restaurant and out while you visit the park. I know when I have had more then three it has become a chore to keep them safe and not tangled. Your daughter's birthday will be quite special enough just being in Disneyland so you won't have to spend much more on items to enhance the experience.

When one of our family members has a birthday and we will be at Disneyland we always buy a Mickey birthday hat or ears for them to wear. Guests and cast members will stop and wish them a "Happy Birthday" and it always brings smiles on their faces knowing it is their special day.

Wishing your daughter the msot magical fifth birthday possible!
