We will be celebrating my daughters' bdays at Disney World next month. I was wanting to get them a cake when at the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, but wanted to pre-order a cake (not one of the podium cakes). Can I have a Disney cake at that restaurant?

    Hi Christina,
What a great way to celebrate a birthday!  Your daughter is going to love it!

This question took me quite a bit of digging, but here is what I have been able to find out:
At the Rainforest Cafe at Animal Kingdom, they do not have cakes you can order (at the podium or otherwise), but they do permit you to bring in your own cake. You may be able to order a Disney cake and have it delivered there;  phone them at (407-827-2253) and leaving a message in the general mailbox (their message indicates you will get a call back within 48 hours).  The automated phone system for cake ordering does not include a mailbox for the Rainforest Cafe, so I am not sure if they will deliver to that restaurant.  All specialty cake orders require 48 hours notice, so you may want to call fairly soon.

The Rainforest Cafe does offer a complimentary 'ice cream sunday' for the birthday person, and you can order slices of chocolate cake off of the menu.

I hope I have helped you a little bit on this one Christina.  I am sure the 'Disney Cake Ordering Hotline' will be able to give you more specific details on your special celebration.  Happy Birthday to your Princess!
