Hello, we are celebrating my daughter turning 3 on Sunday and we plan on spending the weekend at the happiest place on earth. We have an appt for the bippity boppity boutique on Sunday, her actual birthday. Will she need a ticket for her appt?

Greetings, Andrew, and welcome to planDisney. First things first, happy birthday to your daughter! I can't think of a better place than the Disneyland Resort to celebrate such a happy occasion.

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a magical experience available for Guests between the ages of 3 and 12 years old. Since the boutique is located inside Disneyland Park, a valid theme park ticket and park reservation are required to participate. You'll want to make sure your daughter has both in place on Sunday so she can enjoy her salon appointment.

When my daughter was newly three years old, I took her to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. She was mesmerized as the Fairy Godmother's Apprentice styled her hair and painted her nails. We got the package that came with a Disney Princess gown – she still cherishes it! The experience all comes together in a big reveal, when the curtains are pulled back to unveil an enchanted mirror so the kids can see themselves. I think I had just as much fun watching my daughter as she had during her makeover! All this to say, it's definitely a special experience – perfect for a birthday weekend.

Here are a few more ways to make this birthday visit extra special:

    • Pick up a complimentary birthday button at the start of the day for your daughter to wear. Many retail locations and City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. have them. We've had Cast Members, Characters, and even other Guests wish us a Happy Birthday after noticing the button.
    • Consider Character Dining. You'll be visited by Disney Characters at the table as you enjoy a tasty meal. It's always so exciting when someone special stops by.
    • Let her pick out a special souvenir. My daughters love bubble wands, plush toys, and dolls. You can also treat her to something sweet, like the Strawberry Shortcake Macaron from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, which even comes topped with an edible decorative candle!
Andrew, on behalf of all of us at planDisney, I'd like to wish your daughter a very happy early birthday. I hope you and your family enjoy a truly magical visit. If you think of any other questions, please reach out – we're always happy to help!
