Welcome back to planDisney, Brandi! I'm so excited for you to experience the Most Wonderful Time of the Year at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
While I have not yet been to the
Walt Disney World Resort during the actual Christmas holiday, I
have been there during the
holiday season. There is just nothing like it. The
decorations, the treats, the spirit of joy in the air...it's just unforgettable. And yes, the theme parks are so festive and bright but don't sleep on the
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. They usually have beautiful trees and other special holiday touches. In fact, some typically have a gingerbread creation of some sort. In the past, we've seen gingerbread displays at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa,
Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's BoardWalk Inn,
Disney's Beach Club Resort,
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Be sure to follow along with the
Disney Parks Blog to see if these (and other) Disney Resorts Collection Hotels will feature any gingerbread displays during
this holiday season!
Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade at
Magic Kingdom Park typically includes the iconic Toy Soldiers. While this parade is usually exclusive to
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, the parade often performs during the day for all Guests in the park starting on December 23rd and continuing through the rest of the year. Just keep in mind that this is subject to change and won't be official until you see it on the
calendar and/or announced on the
Disney Parks Blog.
Now a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is just not complete during the holiday season if you don't visit
Disney Springs. I absolutely love the
Christmas Tree Stroll that is usually offered during this time of year. Each tree is exquisitely decorated and expertly themed. In the past, some of my favorite trees were the ones themed to the
Haunted Mansion,
Disney Vacation Club, and
The Little Mermaid. Who knows what they'll come up with this year? After all, some trees last year interacted with your
MagicBand+! How cool is that?
Brandi, enjoy your holiday visit to the resort. If you have any other questions,
please reach out again!
May your days be merry and bright...and your food be Mickey-shaped,
Matt
