We are celebrating our children's birthdays in March. Their ages are 8,6 and 3. Is there a general ratio rule regarding shorts and warmer outfits? I was thinking to bring things we could layer, but I'm going nuts!! How can I be totally weather prepared????

    Hi Grace!

Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel.

This is a good question, and one that I think about every time we visit Walt Disney World!

Firstly, the average high/low temperatures for March are 79/56, with an average of 3.5 inches of rainfall.

Bearing that in mind, for each child I would bring something like a hooded zipped sweat top for cooler evenings (or days), add to that t-shirts (long and short-sleeved) and shorts. I think you are right about layering clothing, I would definitely do that.  If it should rain whilst you are there, rain ponchos for children and adults are available to buy in the stores in the parks and resorts of Walt Disney World, starting at around $7.00.  Lastly, comfortable footwear is essential.

It is very exciting that you are celebrating birthdays whilst at Walt Disney World.  If you have any questions about that, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
