We are celebrating her 13th brithday. We have Brkfst resv at Chef Mickeys @ 9am and we are wondering what is the fast way to get there from our resort? Take bus to MK then walk or take the monerail? After Brkfst we are going MK should walk or monorail?

    Hi Kim,

You didn't mention which Disney resort you'd be calling home during your visit, but I assume that you'll be staying in a resort beyond the Magic Kingdom area of resorts.  If this is the case, yes, your journey should begin by boarding a Magic Kingdom-bound bus at your home resort.

Since Disney's Contemporary Resort is the first stop on the resort monorail after it departs the Magic Kingdom, the monorail would be a quick and easy way to get to breakfast at Chef Mickey's.  (Just make sure you board the resort monorail, not the express monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center).  If you prefer to walk, however, it would probably take you roughly the same amount of time.

On the return trip, however, if would be quicker to walk back to the Magic Kingdom since the monorail will make several stops before it arrives back at the Magic Kingdom.  If it is a hot day, however, it might be worth riding the monorail.  It is such a comfortable, fun ride.  I'd make your decision once you see how the weather is that day.

Please wish your daughter a happy 13th birthday from the entire Walt Disney World Moms Panel!
