We will be celebrating our 6 yo birthday on October 30th at Disney World. We have a reservation for breakfast that morning but I wanted some other ideas on how to make this birthday special since we will be away from home celebrating.

    Hi Haley ~

The Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel or any Guest Relations location. You never know what pixie dust will come their way throughout the day.

I'm not sure if you have a boy or girl but there are certainly some things you can do to make a 6th birthday extra special. Here are a few suggestions:
    * Make or get a special "Happy Birthday" card or autograph book for the characters to sign.
    * Stop by The Chapeau on Main Street. U.S.A. in the Magic Kingdom for a great pair of Mickey ears.
    * Make sure they know at your breakfast location that you're celebrating a birthday.
    * Contact Disney Floral and Gifts for an in-room celebration. They even deliver to some dining locations.
    * Book a visit to The Pirates League in the Magic Kingdom or the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique.
    * Set sail on the Pirates & Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage.
    * Meet Mickey at the Town Square Theater (he talks at this location). Make sure their "Happy Birthday" button is visible in the room while you're waiting for Mickey.
    * Picking out your own special gift is always fun. If you have a boy, he may enjoy building his own Droid or Lightsaber at Tatooine Traders in Disney's Hollywood Studios or at the Star Wars Trading Post at Disney Springs. Girls love picking out that perfect princess dress at Castle Couture in the Magic Kingdom or at the World of Disney Store at Disney Springs.

Take advantage of Disney's PhotoPass Service and let their photographers capture some fantastic birthday memories. Some locations offer magic shots where Disney characters and other surprises are added to your photos once you view them online.

Wishing you minnie magical birthday memories :-) Allison V.
