I will be celebrating my 50th Birthday early by taking my kids to WDW in October. The cast members ask if we are celebrating anything when I book ADR, I would like to say yes but don't want to take away from my girls thrill. What do they do if you say yes?

Hello Susan, thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

You should absolutely yes tell them you are celebrating your birthday during your vacation!  If anything, it will only add to your family's excitement.  Most of the time, restaurants will deliver you a cupcake covered in Mickey sprinkles and a candle that I am sure your girls would love to share with you.  I've even received a birthday card signed by all of the characters at that particular character meal.  Make sure to grab an "It's My Birthday" button when you check in as well.  Wear that around and you are guaranteed to get a lot of smiles and happy birthday wishes from Cast Members and Guests alike.

I hope this helps!  Go ahead and celebrate yourself mama!  If you have any other questions, please come back and ask.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
