Hello Moms, we'll celebrating the 7th birthday of my daughter on september 11 in epcot or Dhstudios, what can I do for make it a beautiful day for her? should I arrange in advance a special lunch or what do you suggest?

    Hi Maria,

We also celebrated my daughter's 7th birthday at Walt Disney World. Here are some ways that we made the day special. First, be sure that you get a free "Happy Birthday" button for your daughter at Guest Relations at any of the Disney theme parks. When she is wearing this button, cast members and other guests alike will wish her a happy birthday. While no special treatment is guaranteed, it can be really fun if it does happen. For example, my daughter received a huge cupcake at The Plaza Restaurant when our server saw her birthday button! Likewise, be sure to indicate on any dining or resort reservation that you are celebrating your daughter's special day. Again, no special treatment is guaranteed; however, you never know when a little extra pixie dust might be thrown her way!

You can also consider ordering her a gift from Disney Floral and Gifts. The Dream Makers there can help you to customize a gift just for your daughter. We had a Minnie Mouse plush holding balloons created for my daughter's birthday. Once you have perused their website, I suggest that you call them at 407-WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438) to work with a Dream Maker to customize a gift for your daughter.

As to special places in Epcot or Disney's Hollywood Studios, I think that it will depend on your daughter where she would most enjoy a birthday lunch. Pretty much any restaurant in either of these theme parks will celebrate with you for your daughter's birthday! At Disney's Hollywood Studios, 50's Primetime Cafe would be a fun place to celebrate, and my family also always enjoys a meal at Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano. At Epcot, I recently celebrated my birthday at Chefs de France, and I also think that Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria would make a great place for a birthday celebration.

Have a great time planning your celebration Maria, and please let us know if you have any further questions!
