DH and I celebrating Big 50 this year. Coming 8/21 to 8/28 to PO with DD6 to celebrate(trip is between the two birthdays). Any suggestions for how to celebrate? Booked ADR breakfasts with princesses and Mickey, plus HoopDeeDoo.

    Hi Joan!

There is no better place to celebrate turning 50 than at Walt Disney World!  Character breakfasts are a perfect way to ring in the big event.

A really fun family thing to do is take a specialty fireworks cruise.  You will get a boat all to yourselves with a driver who will take you out on the Seven Seas Lagoon where you can enjoy your own private viewing of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular.  You can even have dinner catered and enjoy your meal on the water.  Is Illuminations at Epcot more your thing?  You can do the same thing for this amazing night show.  To make advance reservation, call (407) WDW-PLAY.

How about a specialty tour?  The Family Magic Tour is for all ages and will give you a neat perspective of the Magic Kingdom.  There are lots of tours for just Mom and Dad as well.  Around the World at Epcot is a segway tour.  How fun would that be to explore Epcot on a segway?  Since your daughter is too young for most of these tours, you can look into Kids Nite Out for babysitting service and have some adult time to yourselves.

Whatever you plan to do, it is sure to be a 50th birthday to remember.

    Have a magical day!
