Hi Lesli!
Thank you for visiting the Moms Panel!
I am absolutely sure your son will love dining with Pooh and friends at
The Crystal Palace, and this is a great second choice to Chef Mickey's. To have those characters interact with your family, pose for photographs with you all, and sign autographs - what fun for a three-year-old! We brought our son to see Pooh and friends at The Crystal Palace, when he was three, and he loved it! Watch out for Tigger - he is very cheeky!
Don't forget to pick up a birthday button for your son, from Guest Relations at any of the four theme parks or at the front desk of your Walt Disney World Resort hotel. This will attract a lot of attention for your son on his special day. You could also order a cake to be delivered to your table by calling the Cake Hotline (407) 827 2253 (they require at least 48 hours notice). See
here for some cake ideas.
If you would still prefer
Chef Mickey's, it is worth continuing to check availability as cancellations do occur, and you might just find an opening on your son's birthday. Mickey can also be found at
The Garden Grill (Epcot),
Mickey's Backyard Barbecue (Fort Wilderness Resort) and
Tusker House for Donald's Safari Breakfast (Animal Kingdom).
If you have any more questions, please come back and ask me - I would be happy to help you plan your magical vacation!
