We are celebrating our 20th anniversary in WDW with our 13 and 7 year old daughters in 2011. Can you tell me when in December is the best time to go to limit crowds? I know they film the Christmas parade prior to the actual holiday, is that date set yet?

    Hi Tawn!
Happy Anniversary!! You'll be celebrating your 20th while Walt Disney World is celebrating its 40th!!!! Should be a great, and exciting, time to be in the World! December is one of my favorite months to visit Walt Disney World because the parks and resorts are truly splendid this time of year. The entire property is all decked out for the holidays which really adds to the overall experience. For the lightest crowds, probably of the whole year, you can visit just about any time from the week after Thanksgiving until just before Christmas. Crowds are light, but the weather can be a bit unpredictable (cool one day, 80 degrees the next, raining the next...), so you will want to be prepared for just about anything when packing. As for the Christmas Parade, although dates have not been set yet, it is typically filmed during the first weekend in December (at least it has been the last 2 years while I have been there).
I highly recommend visiting during this time of year, and I wish you a Magical vacation!! :)
