Richard, congratulations to you and your wife on your 30th Wedding Anniversary! That is truly remarkable, and I am so glad you are celebrating with a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
So many different ideas come to mind when thinking about unforgettable things you can surprise your wife with. But let's start with your Disney Resorts Collection hotel, as it may be the most logical. If you haven’t chosen your resort yet, I would entertain staying in one of the resorts on Disney’s Monorail. Not only will you have easy access to the Magic Kingdom, but you will also have access to some romantic spots to watch
Happily Ever After outside the park.
Take
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, for example. You could book a couples massage at the
Grand Floridian Spa, relax in a
private poolside cabana, book a reservation at Narcoosee’s or Victoria & Albert’s for dinner, and then enjoy the sights and sounds of Happily Ever After from the boat dock, beach, or patio outside Gasparilla Island Grill. If just dinner and fireworks are enough, you could also dine at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort before enjoying the fireworks on the beach overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon or make reservations at
California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary to watch the show from the rooftop balcony!
If you're looking for something in one of the Theme Parks, you should take a look at the various
Enchanting Extras available. You could schedule a special
Capture Your Moment photo session at your favorite park, book a fireworks dessert party,
take a specialty cruise, or experience something new together, like the
Wild Africa Trek.
You should commemorate your anniversary with a gift, big or small, from
Disney Springs. Head there for dinner and shopping, where you could pick out a Christmas ornament together at Disney’s Days of Christmas so that every year when decorating the tree, you are reminded of your anniversary trip and the 30-year milestone. An Initial Rings kiosk will make custom rings, which could be a cute and inexpensive gift! I’d also suggest swinging by the World of Disney. Maybe you could find the perfect jewelry with a touch of Disney as a gift.
If none of the above suggestions speak to you, Richard, you can always
submit a request through the Disney Meetings & Events to see if their team of specialists can arrange something more unique and intimate. You never know what kind of magic they can work!
I hope these suggestions ignite a spark similar to the one you and your wife share. If, after looking at your options, you would like more detailed information about anything, please come back to planDisney to
ask me another question. I would love to help make this trip as memorable as possible!
Cheers to 30 years (and many more)!
Brent
