    We are celebrating our 10th anniversary with a trip to the Bahamas! I have 3 questions. Is there restrictions on luggage size? Can we take swim/sand toys for the beaches? Will our portable DVD player be allowed instead of being unattended in my van?

    Ahoy Cinda –

    Your amazing cruise to the Bahamas is coming up in just a few days, and we are so excited for you! We know that Captain Mickey is just waiting to greet your crew! Your question about luggage size is excellent because I cannot find any size restrictions for check-in luggage. Guests are limited to 2 checked bags each and are given 2 luggage tags per person prior to check in. Carry-on luggage needs to be small enough to fit in the x-ray machine at the port so I would follow regulation airline 22 inches if possible. Try not to over pack so that precious cabin space is not wasted for your luggage! My family travels with 2 29-inch luggage pieces and a 22 inch carry on that fits nicely under the bed in our stateroom (we can also fit our umbrella stroller too). For my pirate crew, that much luggage fits everything (including princess wear and pirate gear) for 2 adults and 2 children for 1 week. We also bring our own beach toys to play with at the pool areas and at Castaway Cay. Your portable DVD player is allowed as long as it is not hooked up to the stateroom TV.  The prohibited items are the DVD players that connect to the TV.
