Celebrating our 15th anniversary in Sept and going to MNSSHP. Is this a good pick for two adults and do we need to use a regular park ticket as well as the event ticket to attend? Thanks for all the great advice!

    Hey Jennifer-

Happy 15th anniversary planning and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You are amazing and have chosen the best time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. The weather is perfect and the crowds are low giving you more time to experience all Walt Disney World Resort has to offer.

My favorite event of the year at Walt Disney World Resort is the Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. My family loves the special Halloween treats, trick-o-treat trails and special character sitings and parties. It truly rocked and the party was not just for kids. Just make sure to bring your sweet tooth!

This is a separate hard ticket event. With this ticket you are typically allowed into the Magic Kingdom Park at 4:00 p.m. and the party lasts until midnight. I would suggest enjoying the day at your resort, pool or hang out at Downtown Disney and not purchasing a theme park ticket for the day.  Release your DisneySide by coming in costume and enjoying the fun. HalloWishes fireworks showcase is the best display of the year and the Boo-to-You! Parade had us singing songs for a month. The hitchhiking ghosts and grave diggers were my favorite part. A special moment takes place about 10 minutes before the parade begins when the Headless Horseman rides from Frontierland through Liberty Square to finish in Town Square. So cool!

We are heading back to this party in October because we met wonderful characters and dressed in our favorite Disney costumes. It was super fun! Tickets for Mickey’s No-So-Scary Halloween Party are anticipated to go on sale in April. Have a spooktacular time!

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
