Celebrating our anniversary at DW in Sept. Going with our 2 kids and my mom. Wanna do something special with my hubby on our anniverary. Any ideas? And what could grandma do with the kids while we're out? Nothing to pricey please. Kids are 1 and 4

    Hello Rachel,

What a magical way to celebrate your anniversary with your Prince Charming! And how wonderful your Fairy Godmother is able to watch the kids as you two sneak away for some much deserved time to yourselves!

My first recommendation is to make sure you pick up a complimentary celebration button at Guest Services. Wear your anniversary pins proudly throughout your visit!

For you and your hubby, here are a few things I would consider:
    • Imagine watching Wishes from the Observation Deck at the Contemporary Resort. Yes, dinner at California Grill may be a bit expensive. But they also have a lounge. So check with the desk to see if they have any available seats in the lounge for a nightcap and time it with the start of the fireworks show!
    • Put on your dancing shoes and head to the Atlantic Dance Hall on the BoardWalk.
Share a bowl of pasta a la Lady and the Tramp at Tony's Town Square in the Magic Kingdom.
    • Or share a sundae at Ghirardelli's at Downtown Disney then peruse the shops at the Marketplace.

For Grandma and the kids, you can always take them with you to Downtown Disney. Goofy's Candy Co. is a great place for each of them to choose a sweet treat. Or many Resorts offer wonderful children's programs such as Movies Under the Stars. They can watch a Disney movie by the pool or on the beach.

Hope this helps! And happy anniversary to you and your husband!

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
