Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Andrea ~
Celebrating a 4th birthday at Disney World is a great idea! Be sure to pick up a "Happy Birthday" button for your son at your Disney Resort Hotel or any theme park Guest Relations location. You never know what pixie dust will come his way.
A
character meal is a great way to celebrate. For that age, Chef Mickey's and the Crystal Palace are awesome choices. They will even bring out a special cupcake for him. They also brought my son a card signed by all of the characters at Chef Mickey's. You could top off his birthday meal with a specialty cake by calling 407-827-2253. Advanced Dining Reservations and 72 hours notice are required. You can make your dining reservations 180-days in advance and I would mark my calendar for that so you can be sure to get the reservations you want for his celebration.
I would recommend the Magic Kingdom for a 4 year old. There are so many incredible rides, shows, and attractions for the young and the young at heart. I would plan on spending two days at the Magic Kingdom to be sure you get to do everything.
The crowd levels are higher and the weather is warmer in the summer but you can still have a great time if you go prepared. Here are some
