To celebrate my GD's 18th bday I'm bringing her to WLBR. From the age of 6 she has helped with her brother who has autism and now helps my daughter, her mother, who has MS. I'm looking for something super special I can do for her. Any ideas

Happiest birthday wishes to your granddaughter! Nancy, you must be so proud to see her love her family so much. And now she will celebrate the last days of her teen years and the beginning of young adulthood. A trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth is the perfect place to mark this milestone and treat her like the special person she is.

Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge offers so much for your vacation. I love taking the water taxi to Magic Kingdom Park. It's my favorite morning commute!

You are never too old for character dining. Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White and Cinderella's Royal Table are two of my favorites. Dining inside Cinderella Castle... you cannot get more magical! Story Book Dining was an amazing experience, too. The restaurant, the characters and the food were all designed to tell the story of Snow White. Even my teen boys are still talking about it a few years later.

To pamper her like a princess, I would head to the Grand Floridian Spa. For our girls' weekend trip, my niece and I indulged in a Momentous Manicure. Lounging in tranquility. Being pampered. Everything about this was perfection. They have a wide array of services, and I cannot wait to go back. A trip to the spa followed by lunch or dinner at the Grand Floridian Cafe sounds practically perfect in every way!

If she is more of an adventurer, I would look at activities at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, like Wild Africa Trek. This tour takes you deep into the safari for a close-up look and wild time. There is also a nighttime excursion with Starlight Safari. This is on my wish list to surprise my boys on our trip this fall.

For extra pop and sparkle, you can watch Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom with Seats & Sweets and Pre- and Post- Fireworks Dessert Parties.

Be sure to pick up a complimentary Celebration button, which you can usually find at your resort's front desk or gift shops throughout Walt Disney World.

Nancy, I hope these ideas help you think of ways to show your granddaughter just how special she is. If we can help with any other questions, please come see us again at planDisney.
