    Hi I want to celebrate my daughters 6th birthday. And I want to make sure is a memorable and fun. What is the best recommended?

    Hello Yoandra,

    I'd like to start by wishing your daughter a very magical early birthday! It is always so fun hearing about others celebrating fun milestones like birthdays at Walt Disney World. I'm sure it will be a day she will never forget, no matter what you do.

    Here are some of my suggestions. First, be sure to get her a birthday button. These are complimentary and can be obtained at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel or at Guest Services in the theme parks. Have her wear it proudly and you will be amazed at all the special attention she'll receive from the cast members.

    I would also suggest a fun character meal such as breakfast lunch or dinner at Chef Mickey's or Cinderella's Royal Table or breakfast at 'Ohana or 1900 Park Fare. These are some of my favorites. Be sure to make your advanced dining reservations online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463), as many of these are popular spots and can book up quickly. You can also order a custom birthday cake by calling the cake hotline at (407) 827-2253.

    There are special birthday ears available at many of the retail shops. I have seen them at The Chapeau in Magic Kingdom, Mouse Gear in Epcot, as well as a few other locations. If the birthday ones are not her style, there are plenty of other special hats to choose from. 

    When greeting characters, be sure to mention it is her birthday, although they will probably see her button. Sometimes, they will write a special birthday message in her autograph book.

    I hope she has a pixie-dusted day full of memories to cherish forever.
