If we want to celebrate our daughter’s 3rd Birthday at Disney World would we need to pay for her a ticket? For example her Birthday is April 16th, if we booked for the days April 15-20th would she still be free for the entire trip?

It is time for a little Mouseketeer to celebrate her third birthday! How cool that you’ll be taking her to the Most Magical Place on Earth for such a special day! My twin sons still talk about how we surprised them with a visit to Magic Kingdom Park for their seventh birthday (and they are 17 now)!

My fellow planDisney panelists and I recently inquired with the Walt Disney World Resort about this same question. While Cast Members at Disney Parks are unlikely to inquire about age, any Guest ages three or older must have a ticket for the theme park. Age upon arrival for the vacation only applies for as long as the child remains that age. So, a child two years old would not need a theme park ticket. If a child turns three during the vacation, they should have a ticket to enter the park.

Courtney, Cast Members and other Guests will want to wish your daughter a happy birthday! If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, be sure to request a complimentary birthday button at the front desk. You can also request a complimentary birthday button from Guest Services at any of the four Disney Parks! You never know what extra magic the Cast Members will want to share with your daughter when they see her birthday button! Also, if you plan on enjoying Disney Dining reservations, be sure to notify your server that you are celebrating a special day for your daughter! They always try to give a little pixie dust on special occasions!

Also, Courtney, be sure to check out some of the special offers currently available at the Walt Disney World Resort! There are some deals that will result in some serious savings for your family depending upon your dates of travel!

    Happy Planning!
