    To celebrate the 50-th birthday of our wife/mother we've made reservations for breakfast with characters at O'Hana and dinner at Boma (AK). What can we expect if we have mentioned this with our reservation?

    Hi Stevie!

    Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel. 

    Definitely pick up a birthday celebration button for her. Also be sure to have a notation made on your dining reservations and tell the Disney Cast Member when you check in at the restaurant's podium. Generally Disney will supply a small celebration dessert, like a cup cake for the person celebrating. However, I recommend not expecting something so that the magic can happen. Guests who usually expect something are sometimes disappointed, while guests who don't expect anything are usually surprised and happy. She should wear the birthday button for the entire trip and all throughout Walt Disney World.
