what can we do to celebrate a birthday on a disney cruise

My son has a January birthday and we once cruised with Disney while celebrating his special day.

First, I ordered a Stateroom Celebration package which included having our stateroom decorated with a birthday banner. When our son opened the door to the cabin and saw the decorations, he was so excited that Mickey remembered his birthday. Then, he noticed the cake waiting for him on the table! It was worth the extra cost, however, you could also bring your own decorations.

Also, let Disney Cruise Line know about your celebration. Have it noted on your reservation! At dinner, the birthday person will receive a cake presented by singing servers. Do not hesitate to remind your Head Server about the celebration.

In addition, you may want to splurge on a spa treatment for an adult, or a special excursion for a child such as a day at Atlantis Aquaventure.
