We have CDR at H&V at 8:35 am but I still want to sign my daughter up for Jedi training. Should I move my reservations to 9:05 or take a quick break over to sign her up? And, do you know how far Jedi signups are from H&V? Thanks

    Hi Stephanie,

One thing to think about is what time Disney's Hollywood Studios (DHS) opens on the morning of your ADR at Hollywood & Vine (H&V).  When I was there in June, signs ups for the Jedi Training Academy (JTA) began during morning Extra Magic Hours (EMH) & filled up fast. If you're staying at a Disney Resort & they have EMHs on the day you're visiting DHS, you should have time to sign your daughter up before heading to your 8:35 a.m. ADR at H&V.  Keep in mind that your daughter will need to be present with you to register because they'll ask her a couple of questions to make sure she can follow some basic directions.

JTA is located next to Star Tours which isn't too far from H&V.  From H&V, head to the left around Echo Lake towards the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular theater.  Continue past that & take a left -  you'll easily be able to see Star Tours. If you're facing Star Tours, the JTA stage will be on the left side. There isn't a permanent place for sign ups so the exact location may vary but it will be held near the JTA stage - just ask any Cast Member in the area where they are holding sign ups that day.

This may be a little more tricky if you're visiting on a day when DHS opens at 9 a.m. If you leave your ADR at 8:35 a.m. you'll likely be gone for at least 15 minutes if not a little longer to sign her up. You may also miss some of the characters visiting tables during that time. If you move your ADR to 9:05 a.m., you may be late & they usually like to seat everyone in a party at once. You could see if they have an ADR around 9:30 a.m. available which should give you time to get through the gate, down to JTA to sign up & still make your ADR. If you do that, make sure you sign your daughter up for a spot that would still give you plenty of time to enjoy your breakfast at H&V.

Wishing you many magical memories :-) Allison
