We are going to CBR resort Florida in April this year and need some advice on dining. We are not sure whether to opt for the Dining plan and Do I need to book restaurants now. How do I choose restaurants help! (family with 2 young sons)

Hi Sarah!  I personally enjoy having the dining plan with my vacation package, as it's a great way to have a good idea of what my family will be spending in advance.  My preference is the original dining plan, which includes one table service credit, one counter service credit, and one snack credit per day.  While we do usually end up spending some money out of pocket, the majority of our food expenses are covered by the dining plan.

If you do plan on dining at table service restaurants, I highly recommend making advanced dining reservations as close to 90 days in advance as possible.  Many of the table service restaurants are very popular!

Now, on to which restaurants to book - you mention that you have two young sons.  Here are some places my young children have enjoyed:

    • 'Ohana - character breakfast with Lilo & Stitch (at the Polynesian)
    • Chef Mickey's - character breakfast or dinner with Mickey & friends (at the Contemporary)
    • Play and Dine at the Hollywood & Vine - featuring Playhouse Disney characters from JoJo's Circus and the Little Einsteins
    • Crystal Palace - featuring characters from Winnie the Pooh
    Have fun on your vacation!
