Hi Cathy, I am looking for recommendations for our last day/night. I have left it as a "flex" day to get to anything we may have missed and would like to make ADR for dinner. Looking for an appropriate way to bid farewell to WDW. Thoughts?

    Hi, Kimberly!

I think your idea of making your last day special is a great idea.  It kind of eases you back to reality after a magical vacation!

There is a lot you can do on your last day:
-Choose a park that has early Extra Magic Hours.  Get in few good hours of park fun!  We always like to squeeze in "just one more attraction!" before heading home.
-If you plan on say, Magic Kingdom, you can plan a late lunch/early dinner with Pooh and his pals at Crystal Palace.  You will smile all the way home after a big hug from Pooh!
-If you do not plan to visit a park, head to Downtown Disney for shopping and a wonderful meal.  For quick service, I am a huge fan of Wolfgang Puck Express and for a table service meal, try Rainforest Cafe or T-Rex.
-Spend a good part of your day at the Contemporary.  Rent one of the very fun little Sea Raycer boats at the marina.  Do some shopping at their awesome gift shops.  Then, have a reservation booked at Chef Mickey's for dinner (or start your day with a nice Chef Mickey breakfast buffet!)  One last Mickey photo will be perfect before you head home.

However you decide to spend your last day, make it magical.  By the last day our family vacations, we are always already looking forward to when we can return for another visit at our favorite vacation destination!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
