Cathy u've been so helpful! Have made res at poly @ separate rooms. 3girls(4,4,9) & wondering best dining options? have the deluxe DP. Want to pls grandparents & kids alike. dad had double by-passs surgery so need healthy food options also.

Hi, Mary Ellen! Thank you for your kind words!  All of us here at the Moms Panel certainly enjoy helping guests make the most of their magical vacations!

I think you made a great choice with the Polynesian! This is resort is in a great location, has a super pool, and you will really feel like you are on a tropical vacation.  After a long day in the parks, kick back on the beach for a great view of the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.

With the Deluxe Dining Plan, you have so many options!  You will have the many dining credits if you want to try some Signature Dining or Dinner Shows.   Since you are at the Polynesian, you will want to try the Spirit of Aloha Show.   Each member of your party will also receive a refillable resort mug which is good for unlimited refills at Captain Cooks (food court dining.)

Buffet dining is a nice choice so your kids can find what they like and your dad can find some healthy options (fish, salads, etc.)  Chef Mickey's and Crystal Palace are always family favorites. Other dining locations that are great for the whole family include Whispering Canyon Cafe (Wilderness Lodge), Cape May Cafe (Beach Club Resort), and Grand Floridian Cafe (just a short walk from your resort!)

I suggest you go to www.allears.net and select DINING.   Look through restaurant menus to make sure there is something for everyone in your family.  Also, to make the most of your Dining Plan, make sure to make Advance Dining Reservations by calling (407)WDW-DINE.

If you are looking for foods with low-fat, low-sodium, or other needs, feel free to ask for the chef who can help choose heart-healthy options.   Wishing your dad a continued successful recovery from his surgery, and wishing ALL of you a great WDW vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
