    Hi Cathy  Our next trip to WDW is set for August 18th. I have standard room at the Polynesian. I was wondering what you thought is our best option is for building & floor request. looking to walk to TTC and be close to the Ceremonial House

    Hi, Jon!

    The Polynesian is one of our favorite places to stay.  We love the tropical atmosphere, fun pools, and great location.

    The TTC is at the far end of the Polynesian Resort, and the Great Ceremonial House is more central.  To be the closest to the TTC, you will want to request Tahiti, where as Rarotonga is the closest to the Great Ceremonial House.  To be right between the two, you might prefer Tokelau.

    As far as which floor, that is up to you.  For a quieter room, request an upper level room.  Personally, I like first floor rooms to avoid elevators or steps, although it is a bit noisier sometimes due to the foot traffic outside.   If you do go with an upper level floor, ask for a 3rd floor room, since in some buildings, the second floor rooms have a sliding door but no balcony (I know, sounds weird. I do not know why they are designed that way!)

    Just to toss this out at you: My favorite building is Samoa!  We love being between the Volcano Pool and quiet pool, close to Great Ceremonial House, and about a 7 - 8 minute walk to the TTC.  Something for you to think about!  Regardless of where you request or end up, you will love this amazing resort.  Aloha!
