Stephanie from CT Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Is there a Catholic mass for Easter offered in 2023? Is anything closed for Easter? Is there an egg hunt or other special activities?

Hi Stephanie, welcome back to planDisney!

Spring is a great time to visit Walt Disney World Resort! There are so many springtime offerings and I’m so excited to share some of them with you!

In the past, Easter mass has been offered at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The time and location of the service is usually not announced until much closer to Easter. I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements closer to your visit. You can also ask at the Front Desk of your Disney Resort hotel when you check in to your room. If you need to find other services, I’m sure there are local churches that will offer various times to fit your schedule.

My family loves to visit the Easter Egg displays at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney's Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The eggs are sculpted out of chocolate by Cast Members and feature so much detail, they are truly incredible! The Big Bunny himself, the Easter Bunny, has previously offered meet and greets at Magic Kingdom Park. If available, his meet and greet details will be in the My Disney Experience mobile app closer to Easter.

Don’t forget that you can visit the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival beginning on March 1, 2023! I love to see the topiaries throughout EPCOT, and this year there will be several new ones, featuring Princess Tiana, and characters from Disney’s Encanto- Mirabel, Luisa, Isabela, and Antonio!

Also in EPCOT, there has previously been an Easter Egg hunt activity, in which you could purchase a map that will guide you to find the themed Easter Eggs throughout EPCOT and collect a prize at the end. This activity has not been announced yet, but there is another similar activity! You can hunt for Spike the Bee throughout the gardens of EPCOT in Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration!

I hope I gave you lots of ideas for how to celebrate Easter and springtime during your visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Stephanie. I definitely recommend to keep checking the Disney Parks Blog! They are always posting the newest information about holiday and festival offerings!

Have a magical vacation, Stephanie! If you have any more questions, visit me again at planDisney!
