Welcome to planDisney, Megan! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today.
Christmas at Walt Disney World is a magical time, and I'm happy to let you know what you can expect when you're looking for your yearly Christmas traditions while you're on vacation next month.
In years past, there has been a Catholic Mass on Christmas Eve at Walt Disney World, but no details have been released for this year quite yet. Last year, Mass was offered at
Disney's Contemporary Resort in the Fantasia Ballroom at 5:00 PM. For the current season, we probably won't know the exact time and location until just a few days beforehand, and the info is posted on signs in resort lobbies.
If you want to plan ahead, pencil in 5:00 PM at the Contemporary as a working assumption, and then double-check when you arrive. If you're staying near
Magic Kingdom, the monorail or the walking path is the easiest way to get there. Holiday parking is tight and prioritized for overnight guests and those with dining reservations. From elsewhere on-property,
take a bus to Magic Kingdom and then walk or
take the monorail over to the Contemporary.
Aim to arrive 15-20 minutes early to sit together and settle in, and if you won't be near the Contemporary beforehand, just ask at any Front Desk in the days leading up to Christmas Eve; they will have the latest details.
Wishing you a peaceful, joy-filled celebration at Walt Disney World!
Jessica
