    Can you catch a taxi cab at certain locations to go to your resort? If yes what method of payment is required?

    Hi Lisa,

    Yes, taxis are readily available at all the theme parks and resorts. As much as I love using the free Walt Disney World transportation, I find that a cab occasionally is the perfect way to return to the resort, especially after a long day, a big meal or if you are going to need to transfer buses to get "home."

    Last week, we splurged on a cab after Thanksgiving dinner to get from Animal Kingdom Lodge back to the Polynesian. And it was totally worth it!

    You will find taxis at the Transportation and Ticket Center at Magic Kingdom and near the bus stops outside the other three theme parks. Every cab I've ever taken at Walt Disney World accepts both cash and credit cards.

    In general, rides between points on Disney property run $20 or less, though ours was a bit more from Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Polynesian the other night because we got stuck at a long traffic light.
