Can I catch a Disney bus to Boardwalk?

    Hi Laurie,

Thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your question. I am happy to help you think about how to get to Disney's BoardWalk.

I love Disney's BoardWalk. I truly think it is one of the hidden gems at Walt Disney World. There are restaurants and entertainment, and you can take a lovely stroll around Crescent Lake, which also allows you to see Disney's Beach Club Resort and Disney's Yacht Club Resort. You can even rent a surrey bike to experience this area in a unique way. But be careful - those surrey bikes require more effort than I had anticipated! Be sure that everyone in the bike is willing to pedal before you get into one!

Using Disney transportation, the best way to access Disney's BoardWalk is to head to Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Disney's BoardWalk Villas. Any transportation that takes you to these resorts will be a quick walk away from Disney's BoardWalk. You will not find direct bus transportation from other Disney resort to Disney's BoardWalk. In the case that you are at another resort and want to head to Disney's Boardwalk, I recommend that you head to a theme park and then take Disney Resort transportation from there. There are some unique ways to do this!

From Magic Kingdom or Disney's Animal Kingdom, you can catch a bus to Disney's BoardWalk Inn or Villas. However, if you are at EPCOT or Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's BoardWalk is accessible via boat or walking! The boat rides are lovely and peaceful, as are the walking paths. Disney's BoardWalk is closer to EPCOT than Disney's Hollywood Studios, so if are looking for the shortest walk, it would be from EPCOT. Once you exit the International Gateway at the back of World Showcase, it is approximately a five minute walk to Disney's BoardWalk!

Finally, and speaking of EPCOT's International Gateway, if you happen to be somewhere on Disney's Skyliner route, the EPCOT stop for this is at the International Gateway. You can ride Disney's Skyliner to EPCOT and then quickly walk to Disney's BoardWalk. This would allow you to experience Disney's newest and quite unique way to travel around Walt Disney World!

Have an absolutely magical time exploring Disney's BoardWalk, Laurie. Please do feel free to come back and let us know if you have any further questions!
