    Can you still catch a bus in the afternoon from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney? I think it was maybe a test when we were there last? Just wondering if it is still an option. If not- best way to get from AK to DTD? Thanks!

    Hi Bethany!

        Yes, Disney was testing a bus route from the Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney last year.  This route may be still operational (it still was there when I was there in January 2014).  As you may know Walt Disney World Transportation routes are subject to change so if this particular route is not running when you are in Walt Disney World then I can give you the next best route.  The quickest route from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney using the Walt Disney World Transportation System that I have found would be to get on a bus that is going to Animal Kingdom Lodge and then when you get there to get on a bus that is going to Downtown Disney.  There are other route options as well such as getting on a bus that is going to Port Orleans Resort- Riverside or French Quarter (which is very close to Downtown Disney) and then taking a bus or boat to Downtown Disney.
