We are castaway members, but are going to plan a trip in Jan 2020 with grandparent who are not castaway members. We want to make sure we have a room that connects to the other. We have a family of 5 and 2 grandparents going. Anything will be helpful. Thank

    Hi Cathy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Congratulations on being Castaway Club Members! There are so many benefits that come along with being a Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club Member. Advance booking opportunities for new itineraries, receiving the "Welcome Back Aboard" stateroom gift and being able to book onboard activities and Port Adventures early are three of my favorite benefits to being a Castaway Club Member.

When we booked the first voyage my parents joined us on, we wanted connecting staterooms, too! Even though the grandparents traveling with you aren't Castaway Club Members (yet!), you will still be able to book adjoining staterooms. I recommend calling one of the helpful agents at Disney Cruise Line, once the full list of January 2020 itineraries are announced, to book your multi-generational cruise over the phone. When I book future Disney Cruises over the phone, I like to have my laptop nearby so I can pull up the virtual deck plan of the ship to see exactly which staterooms are available!

Cathy, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and Disney Cruise Line website for any announcements regarding itineraries for 2020. Another thing I do want to mention is while you'll be able to enjoy early booking on new itineraries as a Castaway Club Member, the grandparents traveling with you who are not Castaway Club Members will need to wait until booking is open to the general public, since they will be staying in a separate stateroom. You may want to wait and book both staterooms at once, to ensure that they will be adjoining!

I'm wishing you an unforgettable voyage!
