On castaway cay now can you explain the options for stingray interactions? One is feeding and snorkeling for 30 min. One is snorkeling only for 50 min? Used to me just feeding and some snorkeling options before.

Ahoy there, Jan and welcome to planDisney! Glad to have you aboard as you look to plan for your Disney Cruise Line adventure later this year!

Looks like you'll be experiencing not only the excitement of Disney Castaway Cay but Nassau, too - AH and it's a Very Merrytime sailing as well! What a way to spend the middle of November! I've only ever been on one Very Merrytime cruise, but it was so magical to see the ship decorated for the holidays! OH, and who can forget the "SNOW" on Castaway as well - it's...SNOW much fun!

Speaking of Castaway Cay, you're correct that the current options for stingray interactions are Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure, which includes an opportunity to both feed and snorkel with stingrays in Stingray Lagoon, and the Castaway Snorkeling with Stingray Port Adventure which gives you even more time swimming (50 minutes, as you said!) with these awesome creatures, without the feeding experience. I have a particular fondness for skates and rays because I grew up swimming on a team whose mascot was the Stingrays!

There are also several Port Adventures that combine parts of these experiences like the Extreme Getaway Package which includes Castaway Ray's Stingray Adventure AND three other rentals: float and tube rental, one-hour bike rental, and snorkel rental that can be used in the SNORKEL lagoon!

Unfortunately, there isn't a "feeding only" Port Adventure at this time, so if you'd like to feed the Stingrays (which is a very cool experience) you and your crew will have to book either the full stingray adventure or the Extreme getaway package. Even if you decide not to swim with what I consider to be one of the most majestic of sea creatures, you could always enjoy the feeding portion! If it were me, knowing how nice a tube and a bike ride can be on my day at Castaway Cay, I'd probably opt for that Extreme Getaway Package!

As always, offerings are subject to change, and a lot can happen between now and November, so be sure to check back as your Castaway Club booking window gets closer!

I hope that helps you check off a bit of your planning to-do list, Jan! Whether you feed the rays or simply WAVE to them (see what I did there?...) from shore, I hope your vacation turns out to be an incredible voyage! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others surface as you continue your plans, please drop another message in a bottle my way here at planDisney!

    Fair winds and following seas,

    Andrew
