Do cast members wear their "hidden Mickey" pins out on their laynards or do they keep them hidden in their pockets? Sophia - 9 years old

Hi Sophia!  So, you like pin trading huh?  My daughters love to trade pins with the Cast Members too.  They especially like the pins that have the Mickey head "hidden" on them.  During our trips, we've never encountered a Cast Member with pins in a pocket; they wear them either on lanyards around their necks or on small pieces of felt that hang from their waistlines.

We've also met Cast Members who have "surprise" pins on their lanyards.  What that means is that the Cast Member will wear the pin backwards so that you can't see exactly what you are trading for until after you agree to a trade.  My daughters have gotten quite a few hidden Mickey pins when trading for those "surprise" pins.  Maybe you'll have the opportunity to trade for one of those during your next trip.  Happy Swapping!

I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
